Demar DeRozan Shoes

Born on August 7, 1989, Demar Darnell DeRozan is a respected NBA player, who is popular for his athletic abilities, finishing prowess, and commitment while on the pitch. The shooting guard joined the NBA after he was selected as the ninth overall by the Toronto Raptors in the 2009 draft. After spending nine seasons with the Raptors, DeRozan was traded to the San Antonio Spurs in 2008, where he currently plays. Demar DeRozan has earned his stripes in the NBA as he is a two-time All-NBA Team member and four-time NBA All-Star. Away from the NBA, DeRozan was part of the USA national team that won the 2014 FIBA world cup trophy.

The Kobe Fan and Nike Athlete

Demar DeRozan, who stands at 6-feet 6-inch, grew up admiring Kobe Bryant, and as a player who has great dunking skills, he knew he had to look to the Swoosh for his shoe deal. Luckily enough, Nike noticed him and gave him a deal in his early years. Since then, DeRozan has been a face of Kobe’s line of shoes, especially the retros. The most popular sneakers that Demar DeRozan, who wears shoe size 15, has laced over the years are:

Nike Kobe 5 Protro

While many players opted for the Nike Kobe 5 Protro as a tribute to Kobe Bryant after his death in a grisly chopper crash, for Demar DeRozan, it was a continuation of his shoe game. This revamped version of Kobe’s signature shoe did not disappoint and was an all-around shoe that supported performance while in the courts.

Nike Kobe 4 Protro

This was the second shoe under Kobe’s signature line to make a comeback as a Protro. It had a sleeker heel shape and featured a full-length Zoom Air unit, an adjusted vamp shape, and wider outsole traction. DeRozan received several exclusive Player Editions of this shoe, including the PE spurs colors and Argentine, which celebrated the Manu Ginobili tribe.

Nike Kobe AD Exodus

The Nike Kobe AD Exodus was a top pick for Demar DeRozan, who loved it for its lightweight feel and good traction. The shooting guard laced some amazing colorways of this shoe during the 2018/19 season.

Nike Kobe AD NXT 360

Demar DeRozan debuted these shoes on March 21, 2018 in a game against the Cavs. This was despite their launch that was announced on October 26, 2017. The design emphasis of these shoes was to make them lightweight with proper traction to support the fast and agile player.

Nike Kobe 1 Protro

As the first retroed shoe under Kobe’s signature line, the Nike Kobe 1 Protro attracted lots of attention. As the de facto face of the Kobe line, Demar DeRozan had the honors of unveiling these shoes on the courts, and they were quite a hit in the NBA. They were notable for their enhanced performance features, full-length Zoom Air cushioning, and lightweight construction.

Other shoes in Kobe’s line

Besides the retro versions of Kobe’s signature shoes, Demar DeRozan has always laced the original models released by Kobe Bryant. Right from the Nike Kobe 11 to the Nike Kobe 3 there is no model that DeRazon has not rocked while in the courts.
