Are Nike Blazers True to Size?

Are Nike Blazers True to Size?

Over the past few years, Nike has been dropping Nike Blazers after Nike Blazers. We’ve seen more new colorways than ever before and people are looking to cop online.

Thus far, it is important to know everything you need to know about Nike Blazer sizing; Form how comfortable they are to whether or not they run true to size. So keep reading for the ultimate Nike Blazer size guide. We’ll make you a sizing expert in no time!

How Do Nike Blazers Fit?

For most people, Nike blazers fit true to size. You might want to stick with your standard size of Nikes such as Jordans and Air Maxes. Even with the very basic sneakers (like those with no techs in the midsole), you’ll still get an acceptable level of comfort overall. Moreover, Nike Blazers are generally easier to get in and out in comparison to their mid-top counterparts.

They fit the same as converse (for most people) but are a little harder to get on due to the thicker material employed around the collar. Converse are relatively quicker to break in as Blazers fit even narrower than Converse do.

On the bright side, Nike Blazers are easily adjustable. In fact, these products are more binge-cops from the blazer category. You can easily sport a white/sail, plus one color combo on a Blazer low, which can look preppy and dressed up, but great for a casual outfit.

Are Nike Blazers Comfortable?

With sneakerheads running around keen on getting their hands on the latest shoe craze, it’s hard to beat Nike as one of the best-selling brands. However, it is worth bearing in mind that while they may be a popular choice, Nike blazers are not always as comfortable as they might seem at first.

If you are looking for a pair of new shoes for casual wear or sports, make sure you know what type of fit would be best suited to your needs. Narrow shoes are perfect for people who have narrow feet and need extra support. Wide shoes offer more room in the toe area, which leaves enough space for toes to move comfortably while still offering support around the rest of the foot.

What about the Materials?

Nike Blazers are all leather with a synthetic tongue. The swoosh is completely smooth but you will find a slightly tumbled finish to the white sections of the leather. The overall quality is okay and it’s not obvious to tell if this is synthetic leather or not. The touch of the leather feels soft and sturdy in the right places, probably due to the byproduct of whatever finish they utilized. Nonetheless, it seems good enough for a sneaker though.

Nike Blazer Mid ‘77

While this iconic sneaker deserves consideration, we handled the Nike Blazer Size chart and fitting alongside a brief history. The Nike Blazer 77 model is a great option for just about any use you can think of. It is not the most comfortable blazer out there, especially for those who have wide feet. The model fits true to size but you might want to order a half size up to get in and out easily.

Comfort-wise, these blazers aren’t as comfy as other Nike designs but are comfortable enough. You will not get as much cushioning as in the Air Max or Air Force 1 silhouette, but there’s enough to make them agreeable. Note that these are a classic high top so the collar and heel need a little breaking period- but, you’ll just need to wear some longer socks for the first couple of times.

Also, in terms of care and maintenance, Nike Blazers are not the easiest to wipe clean because of the fabric upper. Speaking of size, the Nike Blazer comes in women’s and men’s sizing and they both run true to size.

You can style them with anything as they’re incredibly timeless. This staple footwear can pair up with almost anything, but we think jeans are the perfect casual look to the street style feel. Also, while you may choose to wear them with jeans, maybe during winter, wearing them with denim brings such a retro vibe.

Most people’s favorite colorway is usually clean white and off-white, probably with a tonal element rather than a block shade. Simply put anything you can rock Converse with, you can comfortably style with Nike Blazers.

The Bottom Line

Overall, Nike Blazers fit narrow, but also quite long so be sure to keep that in mind. For fellows with super wide feet, there might be more important things to buy than a pair of Nike Blazers.

Some people find the Nike Blazer quite uncomfortable until they’ve worn in properly (just like Converse). However, if you have wide feet, they probably won’t be comfortable for long walks and such. Some find them very tight along the sides.

One common issue that we found with Nike Blazer sizing is the US Women’s to US Men’s size conversion. The US men’s conversion is usually one and a half size difference from the US Women’s sizing on a regular US Men’s Nike Blazer sneaker size label. For instance, a US Men’s 7 would be a US Women’s 8.5.

Still, looking at the Women’s Nike Blazer Mid 77 size label, a US Men’s 7 equates to a US Women’s 8 when converting to CMs.

So if you’re buying a pair of Nike Blazers in the US men’s sizing, we suggest going one size up from your US Women’s Size. In EU sizes that equate to half an EU size up, choosing a women’s EU size 38 equals a men’s EU size 38.5. That said, if you’re planning to buy a pair in US Women’s sizing and you’re usually men’s, we would suggest going down one size.
